AERRL, together with CER, ERFA, UIP, UIRR and UNIFE, has issued a Joint Sector Statement in support of the initiative led by the Czech Republic – endorsed by Austria, Belgium and Slovakia – to strengthen European rail freight at national and European level.
United across the full rail freight value chain, our six associations call on EU Transport Ministers to support this initiative at the Transport Council on 8 June 2026. Rail freight is essential for Europe’s competitiveness, decarbonisation and crisis preparedness. The time to act is now.
