AERRL is involved in training young people, by taking on student trainees.

In Summer 2024, Carole Coune supervised the internship of Abdou Diop, a student in the Accounting Techniques section at Athénée Royal Liège Atlas.

In particular, Abdou helped us to set up a system for tracking expenses by category by drawing up Excel documents, with spreadsheets for each type of expense. He also prepared document templates for collecting certain internal data.

As a result, he has been able to improve his command of Word and Excel. And, of course, he had the opportunity to discover the fascinating world of European rail lobbying.

From January to March 2022, Carole Coune, AERRL Secretary General, supervised Louise Devliegher’s internship.

Louise was a 3rd year student at the European Law School of Maastricht University. Her work at the AERRL focused on drafting a legal report on the possibility of implementing, at EU level, certain obligations for manufacturers with regard to spare parts. Her report should help AERRL to make progress in the area of managing the risk of obsolescence.

This report was presented to the members of the Association at a strategic meeting. She thus ended her internship having achieved something that could be of use in the future.

The photo shows Louise in the presence of AERRL members, presenting the results of her research.
